Ingredients:

- 650g beef (stewing steak or similar)

- 500ml Wishbone beef bone broth

- 2 carrots (cut into chunks)

- 225g potatoes (cut into chunks)

- 100g onions (sliced)

- 1 celery stick (sliced)

- 1 clove garlic (crushed, optional)

- 1 bay leaf

- 2 tbsp plain white flour

- 1 tbsp olive oil

- Salt and pepper
Implementation:

- Cut the beef into chunks, season with flour and salt and pepper.

- Sear the beef in hot pan with oil until well browned then set aside.

- In the same pan, add the carrots, onions and celery and cook until soft, adding more olive oil if needed.

- Add garlic if using and cook for another minute.

- Add beef broth, bay leaf and beef.

- Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer gently over a low heat until beef is fork tender (90-120 minutes) and the sauce has reached the desired consistency.

- Add salt and pepper to taste.

- Serve with mashed potato, rice or pasta and enjoy.
