Beef stew with Wishbone beef bone broth

Ingredients:

      • 650g beef (stewing steak or similar)

      • 500ml Wishbone beef bone broth

      • 2 carrots (cut into chunks)

      • 225g potatoes (cut into chunks)

      • 100g onions (sliced)

      • 1 celery stick (sliced)

      • 1 clove garlic (crushed, optional)

      • 1 bay leaf

      • 2 tbsp plain white flour

      • 1 tbsp olive oil

      • Salt and pepper
      •  

    Implementation:

        • Cut the beef into chunks, season with flour and salt and pepper.

        • Sear the beef in hot pan with oil until well browned then set aside.

        • In the same pan, add the carrots, onions and celery and cook until soft, adding more olive oil if needed.

        • Add garlic if using and cook for another minute.

        • Add beef broth, bay leaf and beef.

        • Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer gently over a low heat until beef is fork tender (90-120 minutes) and the sauce has reached the desired consistency.

        • Add salt and pepper to taste.

        • Serve with mashed potato, rice or pasta and enjoy.
